Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
MeetCue is a meeting copilot operated by Penecho Inc. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who processes it and your choices. Contact: support@penecho.ai.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, verified email address and sign-in identifiers from Apple or Google, and your Google profile picture URL when supplied. Apple’s Hide My Email provides a relay address.
- Your content: uploaded or pasted files, meeting audio, transcripts, meeting maps, minutes, private notes and questions.
- Purchases: your plan, purchase dates, store transaction identifiers and status, including refunds. Apple or Google process payments; we do not receive card details.
- Usage and diagnostics: credits used, meeting durations, file sizes and types, app version and platform, error and performance records, and model token counts. Operational records may include account identifiers and error context. Access is restricted and we avoid recording meeting content in diagnostic logs.
How we use it
Your meeting audio, files and related text are sent to MeetCue’s cloud servers for processing and analysis. Our cloud service calls speech recognition APIs and third-party large language model APIs, sharing the relevant audio, text or images needed to provide transcription, analysis, suggestions and summaries.
- To transcribe meetings, read files (including scanned pages, photos and screenshots), build maps and suggestions, find relevant file passages, write minutes, answer questions and store your content.
- To manage sign-in, credits, storage, purchases, refunds and support, and to keep the service secure and reliable and understand aggregate usage and costs.
- To offer the free trial once: at sign-up we record keyed hashes of your sign-in identifier, email, network (part of your IP address) and a random app installation identifier, rather than these raw values for trial checks. We retain the sign-in identifier and email hashes after account deletion to prevent repeated trials.
We do not sell your personal information or use your content for advertising. We do not use any user data to train or fine-tune AI models. This commitment covers account, purchase, usage and diagnostic data, as well as files, recordings, transcripts, maps, suggestions, minutes, private notes, questions and other user content. Staff access to content is restricted to support you request or access required by law.
Apple and Google sign-in
Sign-in uses Apple or Google. Email/password sign-in, email verification codes and password reset codes are not supported. Existing account data remains available through a linked Apple or Google identity; contact support if you need recovery assistance.
Google sign-in requests only basic identity permissions (openid, email and profile). We verify your identity token and use your identifier, verified email, name and profile picture URL to create or find your account, display your profile, secure access and administer the trial. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar or contacts.
Account details are stored in our hosted database until you delete your account, subject to the backup and anti-abuse exceptions below. Disconnecting MeetCue in your Google Account does not delete data already stored in MeetCue.
The iOS app includes Google’s sign-in SDK. Its privacy manifest declares contact information (including phone number), user and device identifiers, approximate location, usage information and other data for sign-in functionality and analytics. Google may estimate general location from an IP address for fraud prevention. These are Google SDK declarations; MeetCue’s account API receives only the basic identity fields above. MeetCue does not request GPS or address-book access. See Google’s sign-in data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Meeting audio and device copies
While a meeting is listening, microphone audio is sent to MeetCue’s cloud for transcription and processing. Meetings created in the app save recordings to your account while storage is available. You can pause or end listening and delete a meeting and its recording. If credits are insufficient, transcription and analysis stop; recording can continue while storage is available. If recording cannot be saved either, listening pauses.
On supported devices, you can move a finished meeting’s recording to that device and remove the active cloud copy. Minutes, transcripts and other meeting content remain in your cloud account. The device recording is not automatically available on other devices. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data or losing the device can permanently lose that recording. Restore it to the cloud before continuing the meeting or transcribing the recording again. Restoring may retain a device copy for playback; ordinary sign-out does not erase device recordings.
You are responsible for informing participants and obtaining any consent required by the laws applicable to recording and transcribing your conversations.
Service providers and processing locations
- Amazon Web Services (Singapore region): hosting, database, file and recording storage; processes account data and content.
- Cloudflare: network delivery and protection; processes requests in transit.
- Speech recognition service providers: transcription; receive meeting audio and selected names and terms from your files.
- Third-party large language model API providers: analysis, maps, suggestions, minutes, file summaries, answers and image reading; receive relevant transcript excerpts, file passages and summaries, scanned pages, photos, screenshots, notes and questions.
- Apple and Google: sign-in and in-app purchases; process identity tokens and purchase records.
- RevenueCat: purchase validation across stores; processes your MeetCue account identifier and purchase records.
We use these services to operate MeetCue. The data shared is limited to what is needed for the relevant service. The sign-in screen links to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy for review and acceptance. You can stop listening and delete content or your account in the app.
Speech recognition and AI processing may take place in the People’s Republic of China or other countries. Other service providers may process data in the United States, Singapore or the European Union. International processing is subject to applicable data-protection requirements and the relevant contractual safeguards; contact us for information about your data.
Retention and deletion
- Cloud files and meeting content are kept until you delete them or your account, move a recording to a device, or the subscription retention period ends. After subscription access ends, including a verified store grace period, cloud content is retained for 60 days for viewing and export, then scheduled for permanent deletion unless subscription access is restored before deletion. Existing lapsed accounts receive 60 days from this policy taking effect for the account. This includes files, recordings, transcripts, minutes, maps, private notes and project content, even within the free storage allowance. Accounts that have never subscribed are outside this subscription-expiry rule. Deletion does not depend on delivery or receipt of an email or other reminder. Subscription-expiry cleanup preserves the account and does not remotely erase device-only or exported copies. You can request deletion earlier. See the Terms of Service for the retention rule.
- Delete files and meetings in the app. Delete your account in Account → Delete account, or follow the account deletion instructions. Successful deletion removes the relevant content from our live cloud systems. Encrypted database backups and previous object versions follow a 14-day retention schedule before scheduled removal.
- Deleting an account in the app also removes recordings managed by the app on that device. If device cleanup fails, the app tells you and retries on a later launch. Recordings on other devices and copies you exported are not remotely erased; remove them on those devices or clear the app’s data there.
- Purchase records are retained without a link to your deleted account for accounting, tax and app-store refund handling.
- Keyed hashes of your sign-in identifier and email are retained to prevent repeated free trials. These are pseudonymous anti-abuse records, not anonymous data, and are not linked to meeting content. Contact us to exercise your data rights.
Security
Cloud data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS) and at rest. Requests are scoped to your account. The ordinary administration interface shows account and usage information, not meeting content; access to systems is restricted. Device-only recordings use the storage protections available on your device. On iOS, these app-managed recordings are excluded from cloud backup.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data and to object to or restrict processing. Use the app’s available controls or contact support@penecho.ai. We respond within 30 days; if applicable law permits an extension, we will explain it within that period.
Children
MeetCue is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We publish updates on this page with the date above. Where applicable law requires advance notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it through the app or another appropriate contact channel before that change applies.
