Getting good results
- Put the phone or tablet in the middle of the table, screen up, and keep MeetCue open. The screen stays on while a meeting is listening.
- Fill in Your role and goal before you start: suggestions aim at it.
- Add the documents the meeting is about to a project: proposals, price lists, contracts, notes. Text-based PDFs, Word, PowerPoint and Excel work best.
- Use Note during the meeting to add something nobody said out loud (“Their budget cap is $200k”).
Common questions
The meeting paused by itself
A meeting keeps listening until you tap Pause or End, even when nobody is speaking, so end meetings you have finished. It pauses by itself only when your credits run out and nothing more can be recorded, or on iOS after 30 minutes in the background (device interruptions may pause it sooner); browser capture pauses when backgrounded. If speech recognition is briefly unavailable, the meeting keeps recording and tries again by itself. Tap Resume to continue a paused meeting. A paused meeting is not charged.
A file says “Failed”
Scanned PDF pages are read using text recognition on our servers, with support for English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, German and Portuguese. Clear scans work best; split files that need recognition on more than 80 pages into smaller PDFs. You can also paste the important parts with Paste text. Old .doc/.ppt/.xls formats need to be saved as .docx/.pptx/.xlsx.
